Time doesn't pass in Asgard while he's here, so Thor's not really avoiding people by coming to Milliways.
But, well, the door showed up. And he doesn't mind delaying the feast a little.
Thor is, and will always be, very much a people person. But sometimes, when you're brooding over the probable death of your beloved but somewhat traitorous brother, you don't always want to be cheerful and hearty at all your friends (and frenemies and relatives and so on). Even the ones who are grieving too.
So: here comes a blond mountain of a man, clad in shiny armor and a swooping red cape that billows gently behind him.
He's not heading directly for Lilly, but he's not averse to company (and distraction). Mostly, he's just looking at the shoreline.
It's pretty. And different than Asgard, which always makes scenery interesting.
