Sleepover!

Lilly loves sleepovers. It might show, just a little, in her preparations. There's a bar set up, with blenders and paper umbrellas and cherries and liquor of various unnatural colors. (There may even be humorously shaped ice cubes.) There's an impressively vast selection of nail polishes, makeup, and hair accessories. (All the better to make you over with, my dear.) Also, pillows, blankets, selection of girly movies, and a few other things that may come in handy later in the evening.

Now all she needs are her guests.

"Come on in, I'm all set!"

*Meg bounces cheerfully into the room, dressed appropriately in oversized pajamas.

Incomprehensibly - to Meg, at least - Trust the Force is scrawled all over them, in between tiny green men.*

Borrowed them off Andrew, *she explains, cheerfully.*

Anthy trails after her, wearing a ruffled pink nightgown and a small Hello Kitty backpack. Chuchu's riding on her head.

"Hello," she says, peering around Meg. "Um -- where should I . . ."

Then she stops talking, because she's busy widening her eyes at the preparations.

Susan is dressed in jeans and a soft flannel shirt, but has a small bundle under her arm. She is smiling brightly, nearly dancing as she comes down the hallway.

"Wei, Lilly!" As she enters the room she stops and looks around wide-eyed.

Makeovers

Lilly is showing off the various nail polishes, lipsticks, eyeshadows, eyeliners, etc.

"You guys can use whatever you want, on whoever you want, you ken? Because it's totally time to get pretty... wait. Prettier. We're all damn pretty already."

Susan moves to stand next to Anthy, smiling, and reaches out to touch her shoulder comfortingly.

"It's all right, say true." A beat. "Colorful, oh aye, but all right."

She's looking around curiously.

Kaylee's face looks just like Anthy's.

There is sparkly purple nail polish.

And very delicately, she reaches out to take it out of the rest and proffers it to Meg. "What's your opinion?"

Drinking Games

Lilly is standing in the kitchen bar, doing mysterious things with blenders.

"Okay, guys, pick your drinks and let's get ready to play."

Cosmo Quizzes

There is a stack of Cosmo magazines. (No, not the ones she gave Aziraphael. The angel kept those.) There are quizzes in said magazines.

"So, who wants to find out if they flirt too much?" Lilly asks, laughing. "Because I think I can skip this one."

Susan gives Lilly a Look and starts laughing, herself.

"Aye, I think we all ken that, say true. What would Alain say, I wonder?"

It's gentle teasing, but she's very clearly amused.

"Alain should say that he is damn glad I flirt too much, or we would have never gotten together. However, I think he will probably say something more like... 'Aye.'"

*Meg peers over Lilly's shoulder, on her tip-toes, and squints down at the magazine.*

However, *she announces,* I think we can all benefit from the "What's Your Type?" quiz. Especially if the types match up to those pictures, there.

The girls are... giggly. Pretty. Perhaps just a tiny bit drunk. This can mean only one thing.

"It is time," Lilly announces solemnly, "to play Truth or Dare."

And, *Meg adds, innocently,* as the bride-to-be, I vote Susan has to go first.

"What?" Susan protests, laughing. "I don't-- truth or dare?"

Ever honest was Pat Delgado's daughter, and so mayhap it's understandable that she says,

"Truth?"

And without even knowing the rules of the game, oh aye.

Lilly puts the DVD of Love Actually in, returns to her seat, and gets comfy.

"Everyone settled in? I'm starting the movie. You will all love it, trust me."

*Meg watches the movie intently, at first - the whole 'moving picture' thing is still a novelty to her.*

*And then Bill Nighy appears, and after a few incredulous seconds she begins to giggle.*

She's settled down beside Cuthbert, her head on his shoulder, looking curiously at the movie.

Susan's quiet and very content, oh aye.

Everyone's drifted off to sleep, eventually. Even Lilly. She's... dreaming, she thinks, but everything feels so real. Scenes keep flashing before her eyes... a vacation with Duncan and her dad and his new wife, her college graduation, Veronica and Duncan's wedding... only they're not just flashing, they're happening to her.

She jerks awake, and looks around the room. Madison and Carrie are asleep by the couch. Veronica's curled up with Duncan, something that makes her both roll her eyes and smile. Of course her brother snuck into the sleepover, he and Veronica suck at spending time apart.

And then Lilly blinks and everything changes. Outlines blur and melt and reform, and the sleepers are Meg and Kaylee, Susan and Koosh and Anthy in the corner again.

She stands up abruptly and makes her way across the room to the balcony, in sudden need of air.

*Meg's a light sleeper, at the best of times.

At the sound of footsteps heading across the room, her eyes open.

Then, careful not to step on anyone, she hops lightly to her feet and follows.*

Lilly's leaning over the balcony, staring at the lake. She turns her head when she hears Meg approach.

"Hey, Meg. Sorry if I woke you."
