Lilly dropped into bar somewhat unexpectedly a few months ago, and then just as unexpectedly dropped out again. (There was a minor, eminently solvable issue with the twins' schooling. The thing with Raspberry took longer.)

She's back now, skipping main bar for some quality time in the Caribbean inlet. Quality time equals beach towel, cooler full of margarita... pitchers, and trashy novels from the next universe over. (Twilight in the Attic. Reading it aloud has been banned as torture under the Genua Convention. Lilly loves it.)

It's a good day.

"In that case, I am super honorable, and I have a spare pitcher to back me up on that."

Please note that she says nothing about virtuous. Even tequila can't cast a haze thick enough for her to pull that off.

Thor, missing this particular linguistic subtlety (and also not much caring about it), looks entirely amused.

"I have been told that at Milliways all are guests and hosts both. You seem to have taken that to heart, Lilly Kane."

Lilly laughs.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that."

Or her legacy of killer parties fighting doom could, if said parties ever grew sentience. (Which is, let's face it, probably the next step for a Lilly party.)

"Is that a thing on- wait, where are you from again?"

Since apparently 'vaguely Nordic heaven' is not entirely correct.

Lilly blinks. It kind of sounds like he said he's from a fancy deodorant place, but whatever, he's cute.

"Uh, cool. What's it like there?"

Probably depressingly non-sweaty. Depressing, because Thor would definitely look good sweaty.

This is both a fair question, and one that's hard to answer!

Thor looks thoughtful for a moment. At least he knows she's from Earth. Context!

"Very fair," he says, "and bright. Brighter than your Earth." It comes in part of having a different sun, but there's a certain subtle oversaturated luminousness that clings to Asgardians anyway. "The heart of Asgard is a great city of golden towers."

"Sounds pretty," Lilly says.

Phallic, but pretty.

"What kind of nightlife you have there?"

Towers are all well and good, but once you've checked out the view, a girl needs something else to do.

He gives Lilly a bemused look. "Much like the day life," he hazards.

Lilly wrinkles her nose.

"That sounds... nice."

What is the use of golden towers and all if you don't add some strobes after sundown? It doesn't sound like these Asgardians know what to do with their place.

But this is an idiom that hasn't quite translated; Thor thinks maybe she's asking about whether there's a different nocturnal species or something.

He laughs, anyway, the short amused breath of someone completely unembarrassed by missing whatever cue he's missed. (Thor is, as a rule, mostly impossible to embarrass.) "Nice enough. But perhaps I have misunderstood -- what is this 'night life'?"

Oh my god, they really might not have any? Poor, phallic, party-deprived Asgardians.

"Clubs, bars, restaurants, whatever. You know, places for dancing and drinking and generally making bad life decisions?"

If this place doesn't have something like that, she is so never visiting. (Lack of invitation is not something she regards as an obstacle.)

OHHHHHH. Thor's face clears into open, comprehending amusement.

"You mean feasts!" Thor, it's very clear, is a fan of those. (Thor is also pretty good at compartmentalizing, because he came here in part to escape one for a little while -- but that's because of specific awkward feelings, and has nothing to do with his general fondness for conviviality.) "Yes, of course. We have many gatherings of drinking and conviviality, both day and night."

Also there are restaurants and things, but when you live in a giant glittery palace along with most of your friends, you tend to entertain at home.
